I went to a kebab restaurant in Ohrid, North Macedonia. At Vkusno Restaurant, I ordered a mixed grill platter. It included a huge beef steak, a skewer of chicken, a sausage, and another type of sausage. There was also a piece of kebab. Underneath two separate pieces of kebab were french fries, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and onions. I also ordered a Macedonian salad. In the salad, I see tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, olives, onions, and spices. I also ordered a bottle of ayran.
The mixed grill plate cost 1,000 Macedonian denars, and the salad cost 150 Macedonian denars.
This dish, known as a mixed meat grill for one person, was so huge that I could barely finish half of it.
It was so crowded all the way to the restaurant that it can sometimes be hard to find a spot. I was lucky—I found a seat. The food came out quickly enough. It’s in a very central location, so you can try it out for yourself while you’re in Ohrid.
