Kalaja Fortress of Prizren, Kosovo
If you visit the city of Prizren in Kosovo, you simply must visit Prizren Fortress. When I decided to head toward the fortress, I saw that it was about a 600-meter walk from the river.

As I continue walking toward the castle, I make my way through the green trees on either side of me and past the beautiful flowers. I’m climbing higher and higher.

I see some flowers on either side of me whose names I don’t know.

And finally, I can see a part of the castle I’ve been trying to reach

As I approach the castle, I see colorful flowers again and can’t resist taking a photo.

And now I’ve reached the base of the castle walls.

This is the view I saw when I turned my head all the way after entering the fortress.

This is the view I see when I look down from the castle toward the city.

I’m taking a short break here, sipping on some ice tea. I think it’s a local variety that I bought at a small grocery store in Prizren.

I set out to explore the castle. Inside the castle were some walls left over from the past and their interesting windows.

I’m at the top of the castle right now.

There was a place selling ice cream and fruit juice at the exit of the castle. I wanted to buy myself a cone of ice cream. A child came over and asked the vendor something. He was speaking in a language I didn’t understand. Then he was about to leave. But I called the child back and bought them some ice cream. They were very happy. They thanked me very much.
